Single Port Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery
Traditionally, as many as six incisions are required for video-assisted thoracoscop-ic surgery (VATS) for bilateral lung tumor resection but Single Port Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery needs only one incision. Single Port Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (SPVATS) approach is recognized as a modality to perform thoracic surgery that could further enhance patient satisfaction with minimized access trauma, less pain, and faster recovery.
